1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, and saved places. We also collect usage data including app interactions, device information, and approximate location when you use the Near Me feature.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the App, personalize recommendations, sync your data across devices, process subscriptions, and communicate with you about the service.
3. Location Data
The App requests location access only for the Near Me discovery feature. Location data is sent to our servers to find nearby places and is not stored permanently. You can revoke location access at any time in your device Settings.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your account data and saved gems are stored securely using Google Firebase. We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your information. Data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure.
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services: Google Firebase (authentication and data storage), Google Places API (place information and photos), Google AdMob (advertisements for free users), and Anthropic Claude AI (recommendation scoring). Each service has its own privacy policy.
6. Advertising
Free users may see rewarded advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. Premium subscribers do not see advertisements.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the App (as listed in Section 5) and when required by law.
8. Your Rights
You can access your data through the App, delete your account and associated data at any time from the Profile tab, export your saved gems, and opt out of location tracking. For EU users, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to be forgotten.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
